Aha

An ACT tutor you talk to.

Sam teaches every skill on the ACT English, math, and reading tests by voice, writes on screen as it explains, and remembers what each student needs next.

AhaCommas with joining words

The game went into overtime and the crowd stayed to the end.

SamBoth halves could stand alone. So before the word and, do we need a comma?

StudentYes, because it's joining two complete sentences.

What a session with Sam is like

Students put on headphones and talk. Sam works the way a good private tutor does: one idea at a time, always asking the student to do the thinking.

Teaches by asking
Sam explains a rule in a sentence or two, then asks the student to apply it to something new. Students give an answer and a reason, so right answers that were guesses get caught.
Writes as it talks
Sentences, equations, graphs, and reading passages appear on screen at the moment Sam mentions them, with the part in question highlighted.
Moves on only after mastery
Each skill ends with a short check of three fresh questions. Mastered skills come back for quick reviews on a schedule, so they stick until test day.
Remembers each student
A placement check skips what the student already knows. Sam keeps notes between sessions and notices patterns, like slips on the last step or misread questions, and coaches the habit behind them.
Prepares for the test itself
Timed, full-length practice sections are scored by category, and Sam goes over every missed question afterward. Sam also teaches pacing and test-taking habits.

For students

Study whenever it suits you and ask as many questions as you need. Sam is patient, and a confused moment is just the next thing to work on. Prefer not to talk? Type your answers instead.

A countdown to your test date and a weekly plan keep you on pace.

For parents

Aha never records or stores your student's voice, has no ads, and never sells data. Students under 18 join with a parent's permission.
